A fan of brevity I enjoyed this neat list on reading from A Working Library (a site that sports one of the finest designs I noted this year). Of the nine pieces of advice one that I’ve only recently taken to heart is this:

If a book bores you, or tells you things you already know, or is not beautiful, do not hesitate to discard it. There are better books awaiting you, just around the bend.
